I want a tattoo but I’m on a limited budget. How do you determine pricing?
Generally our tattoos are priced by piece. Our minimum is $100 and goes up from there depending on size, detail and location. We do not give out quotes online or over the phone but you can come in for a free consultation with one of the artists any time we are open.
How do I set up an appointment?
Piercings do not require an appointment. We do have two piercers on staff so there is always one here during our open hours of operation.
Walk ins are always welcome for tattoos but If you would like to set up an appointment with one of the tattoo artists just take a look at their portfolio to see how they like to schedule appointments. If you do set up an appointment, a $100-$200 non refundable deposit will be required to secure your spot.
Do you pierce ear lobes on children?
We do pierce ear lobes on children but they need to be old enough to ask to have it done. The procedure is performed using a sterilized hollow point needle vs. a "gun" and can be a bit intimidating for a young child. Usually we prefer that they are at least 5 years old and that both piercers are working so that both ears can be pierced at once.
How old do you have to be to get a piercing or tattoo?
NYS requires you to be 18 years old with a valid photo ID. There is no parental consent for tattoos in NYS but your parent or legal guardian can sign for you to have a non invasive piercing done. Piercings that will not be performed on a minor include but are not limited to all oral and genital piercings as well as micro dermals. Any piercings not performed on the ear will require you to be at least 16 years of age with parental consent.
What kind of identification is required?
We require a valid photo ID to be pierced or tattooed in our shop. Piercings performed on a minor require the ID of a parent or legal guardian as well as documentation proving the child is yours. (birth certificate, legal photo identification card or guardianship paperwork)
Do you sell all the aftercare products I’ll need?
We recommend and carry H2Ocean products in our shop. Depending on the size and location of your tattoo we also offer Saniderm. Saniderm is a medical-grade, waterproof tattoo bandage that is breathable and used like a “second skin” to heal your tattoo.
Do you do walk in tattoos?
Walk in tattoos are usually welcome everyday that we are open. You can always give us a call the day you are planning to come to be sure we have the space available though 518-685-3151.
During our summer season: We work on a first come, first served basis. The shop opens at 11am and that is when we start to take customer information on our walk in list. The artists usually come in between 12 and 1pm. Some days are strictly walk ins and some days we work the walk in tattoos in between scheduled appointments. The wait can be any where from we get you in right away to you may be waiting for a little while. This all depends on the length of the list.
